Engineering

Avcorp has engineering design, tool design and tool manufacture capabilities to meet both new product requirements as well as ongoing product support. These capabilities allow Avcorp to win stand-alone design work from existing and new customers.
Avcorp’s design and engineering capability is used to develop products in accordance with a customer-stated performance specification. Avcorp’s engineering organization can operate as an extension of the customer’s engineering operations, providing technical support, expertise, and project management services. Avcorp specialises in engineering of aircraft primary structures, with emphasis on stabilizer and wing components, control surfaces and associated items.
Avcorp’s experience in computer-aided engineering includes NASTRAN finite element modelling using PATRAN pre-process or post-process software. Detail stress analysis can be performed, including fatigue and damage tolerance and maintenance and reliability analysis. All detail design is performed using CATIA V4.2-9 and V.5.0. Weight control management, mass properties determination and control is routine on all Avcorp design-build projects.
Avcorp is Material Review Board (MRB)-approved by Cessna and Bombardier.
To increase engineering contract service capacity and reduce customer costs, some basic engineering services are currently being sub-contracted to an engineering firm in India.
