Fabrication operations focus exclusively on aluminum detail components and include:
- high-performance machining,
- NC-rout and water-jet profiling,
- metal brake and hydro forming,
- heat treating,
- metal bonding,
- phosphoric and chromic anodize and alodine processing, and
- paint finishing.
Tools such as resource planning (ERP), line of balance (LOB) tracking, standardized scheduling, preventative maintenance programs, set-up reduction practices, and optimal batch quantities are used to meet delivery schedules, reduce internal lead times and minimize work-in-process (WIP) inventories.
Fabrication also supplies metal bonding, phosphoric and chromic anodize and alodine processing and paint finishing as subcontract services to its customers. Very few facilities that combine these capabilities with numerous customer quality certifications exist in North America and so demand is high to support both Cessna and Boeing production and to meet short turnaround, high-margin work statements for a number of regular and one-time customers.
